'Tis the harvest season and some of the best fruits and veggies are coming into their prime! Though, my not-so-little baby boy is starting to favour feeding himself, I still pack him full of nutrients with my homemade purees!

These three purees are suited for the season. They taste great served warm or cold and or even mixed into some blueberry oatmeal and peanut butter. Uh yea... you just try not to stick a finger in for a taste! Let me know how it goes... 😉

Bubba's Pumpkin Pie

For each recipe place the ingredients below the picture into your blender:

1 banana 1 avocado 1 cup sweet potato 1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce 1 cup cooked pumpkin 1/2 cup sprouted/cooked lentils 1/2 tsp ground chia

1 tbsp pea protein

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/8 ginger, nutmeg, allspice or 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice

Makes 3.5-4 cups of food.

Note: Nutrient values range but they are around 120-130 calories and 4 grams of protein per half cup.

If you use canned beans or pumpkin try to use organic with BPA free cans!

Sweet Beets Baby!

2 cups red kidney beans (sprout before cooking)  2 bananas 1/2 cup of cooked beets 1/2 tbsp chia 1 tbsp ground hemp

Makes aproximatly 3 cups of food.

Note: This one is too delicious to not taste for yourself!

Spice, Spice, Baby!

Jack LOVES spice. He comes full speed if he even hears us opening a can of hot salsa. This one is an acquired taste for babe 's who like a spoon with some kick!

3 cups of steamed spinach 1/2 cup of alfalfa sprouts (a natural probiotic) 1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce 1/2 avocado

1 banana

1 cup of sweet potato  1/4 tsp mild curry 1/2tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp turmeric 1/4 tsp pepper

I hope your little one enjoys these meals as much as my Jack does! We have a fulltime job keeping up with his appetite, especially since he's growing so fast - he took his first steps yesterday! #proudmomma
